I'm so sorry about the flooding. I have been helping two sets of friends who lost their homes in the Eaton Fire in California. Weather has been a real BLEEP lately.
So Sorry to hear that, Franny. The wildfires in California absolutely broke my heart. Amazing of you to lend a hand, I’m sure your friends will be forever grateful!
Not sure about forever, LOL! If I still lived there I could be of more help. But I was an insurance adjuster and so I am helping them with advice and guidance, and review to ensure their insurance adjusters stay honest. Which, so far, they definitely are.
I so enjoy your gazette and your recipes! I make one at least once a week and have been doing so since I discovered you several years ago. We’re having extra cold weather where I live in Washington State also and I’m making your lentil soup and Brie en croute recipes today!
Anyway, I am mainly writing to check on you. Is your part of Britany experiencing flooding now? Is everyone okay?
Truly appreciate all the support, Nancy! Nothing makes me happier than knowing a warm bowl of soup that I've shared is helping to warm someone up.
As for the flooding, thankfully where we are "safe" from real damage. The rains have finally subsided for the time being, and hopefully for a while. Thank you for asking.
Having only experienced France in the heat of the summer, I really enjoyed your winter rendition of the area. It sounds just like home here in Scotland. Many thanks for a special read.
Oh, Lynda... The heat of summer in France can be quite vicious, depending on where you are. My heart goes out to you if you were in the south - but even sometimes in the north, temperatures can get a bit sticky. Really looking forward to visiting Scotland soon, I think our weather patterns in Brittany will make the vacation feel very "at home"!

I lived in France for 6 years and miss it so much. Thank you for writing this. Makes me miss France even more. 💛
You're so very welcome. I am sure your memories of France will stay with you forever... And France will always be here for you to come back to :)
